Jonathan Deckter joined IM Global in April 2010 as President, International Sales & Distribution, where he oversees international sales and distribution activities for the company’s five divisions: Opus (mainstream, commercial cinema);  Acclaim (critically acclaimed arthouse and specialty cinema); Octane (branded genre fare); Anthem (the best of non-English language cinema from around the world); and Apsara (a rights acquisition and distribution vehicle that will serve the rapidly evolving Asian markets across growing theatrical, digital and VOD distribution platforms), with titles sold including WALKING WITH DINOSAURS, DREDD, BULLET TO THE HEAD, SAFE, INSIDIOUS, SINISTER, and W.E.

Prior to joining IM Global, Deckter held the position of Senior Vice President of International Sales for Lakeshore Films for three years, overseeing foreign sales and managing  a wide range of motion pictures that are part of Lakehore's 500+ title library.  Before joining Lakeshore, Deckter served as President of International Sales at Arclight Films, managing the worldwide sales, distribution and acquisitions of the company's theatrical films and creating new alliances with companies such as Joel Silver's Zinc Pictures.

For five years prior to his tenure at Arclight Deckter served as Vice President of Morgan Creek International, and before joining Morgan Creek, Deckter established FILMDECK, a boutique sales agency.  Additionally, Deckter worked as a consultant for Screen Media Ventures and worked closely with industry veteran John Hyde, CEO of Crossroads V Communications.

Deckter is a frequent speaker on industry panels, including the Spring 2011 Film Finance Forum panel on Distribution.  He is also active with the National MS Society, serving as a co-chair for the Dinner of Champions in 2011.
