General Manager, Mundial
Cristina is the General Manager of MUNDIAL, a leading international film and television sales and licensing business handling global distribution of acclaimed Latin American feature films and libraries. A subsidiary of prolific independent studio IM GLOBAL, Mundial serves as an aggregator of Latino and Ibero-American content for major US and global digital platforms. Before her work at MUNDIAL, Cristina served as Head of Distribution at CANANA, the production and distribution outlet helmed by Gael García Bernal, Diego Luna, and Pablo Cruz. Before arriving to Mexico, Cristina lived in New York for ten years and served as Manager of International Sales at FiGa Films, an international sales and micro-distribution company. She also co-founded FilmCatcher.com, an online video magazine for independent film. She was the the U.S. Delegate for the International Critics Week of the Cannes Film Festival for three years, and produced with filmmaker Robert Rodriguez Mercado Fantástico at Fantastic Fest in Austin, Texas, the first co-production market for genre films from Latin America. She graduated Cum Laude from New York University with a Bachelors in Economics.

Mundial has worked with high profile Latin American talent including Academy Award® winner Alfonso Cuarón, writer/director Jonás Cuarón, Gael García Bernal, Diego Luna, Academy Award® nominee Demián Bichir, and Edgar Ramírez, among many others. Some of the award-winning Latino films they have handled include Diego Luna’s Cesar Chavez; the historical epic Libertador (The Liberator) starring Edgar Ramirez; Sue?o en Otro Idioma (I Dream in Another Language), which won the World Cinema Dramatic Competition Audience Award at the 2017 Sundance Film Festival; Gueros, winner of many awards including Best First Feature Award at the Berlin Film Festival and the Grand Jury Prize at AFI Fest; and O Lobo Atrás da Porta (A Wolf at the Door), which received the Horizontes Latinos award at the San Sebastián International Film Festival.
Mundial is also partnered in output deals with some of the most-high profile producers in Latin America including Gael García Bernal, Diego Luna and Pablo Cruz's production company, CANANA, Alex Garcia’s Itaca Film, and Monica Lozano’s Alebrije Cine y Video.Return to Executives Overview
