AUTOMATIK is a Los Angeles based production and financing company, a joint venture between IM Global and Alliance Films that produces four to six film projects a year.

Automatik’s releases in 2012 include SAFE, starring Jason Statham and directed by Boaz Yakin, and THE BAY, directed by Barry Levinson, both of which are to be distributed by Lionsgate. Currently Automatik is in post-production is Rob Zombie’s LORDS OF SALEM; BULLET TO THE HEAD, starring Sylvester Stallone and directed by Walter Hill, THE BABYMAKERS, starring Paul Schneider and Olivia Munn, directed by Jay Chandrasekhar; WELCOME TO THE PUNCH, starring James McAvoy and Mark Strong, directed by Eran Creevy; and SINISTER starring Ethan Hawke and directed by Scott Derrickson. In pre-production is the sci-fi action thriller THE LAST DAYS OF AMERICAN CRIME. 


Brian Kavanaugh-Jones is currently the president of Automatik. Since the company’s inception, Kavanaugh-Jones has executive produced: INSIDIOUS, 2011’s most profitable film-to-date, directed by Saw’s James Wan and produced alongside Paranormal Activity’s Jason Blum, which has gone on to gross over $50 million domestically through FilmDistrict/Sony; Jeff Nichols’ TAKE SHELTER, released by Sony Pictures, which played at Sundance and won Critics Week at Cannes 2011, as well as the FX thriller SKYLINE, directed by FX wizards The Brothers Strause (Avatar, 300, 2012). Prior to founding Automatik Entertainment, Kavanaugh-Jones was an agent in the film finance department at Creative Artists Agency where he was instrumental in the financing and selling of independent features.

Among the many films Kavanaugh-Jones helped bring to fruition are Oren Peli’s PARANORMAL ACTIVITY, which cost $11,000 and went on to gross over $200 million worldwide; Nicole Kidman starrer RABBIT HOLE; Larry Charles’ RELIGULOUS; John Woo epic action drama RED CLIFF; Robert DeNiro, Jason Statham, Clive Owen starrer THE KILLER ELITE; and Zach Galifianakis starrer IT’S KIND OF A FUNNY STORY.

Kavanaugh-Jones received his Fine Arts degree from the University of California Santa Cruz.

BAILEY CONWAY (VP, Production and Development)

After working in the Film Finance Division at Creative Artists Agency, Conway joined Automatik at its inception in April 2010 to run the day-to-day operations of the company and shepherd development and production. She just completed principal photography on Jay Chandrasekhar’s THE BABYMAKERS starring Paul Schneider and Olivia Munn where she served as Associate Producer. She is currently involved in numerous features including SAFE, starring Jason Statham; BULLET TO THE HEAD, starring Sylvester Stallone; INSIDIOUS, directed by James Wan; and THE BAY, directed by Barry Levinson.

Prior to joining Automatik, Conway served as Executive Assistant to Paula Wagner (former CEO of United Artists) where she oversaw Ms. Wagner’s daily operations, managed all of her business relationships and presided over development. Before that, she was the Acquisition/Creative Executive for The Steel Company, a first-rate consultant to foreign film distributors. Conway graduated with a Bachelor of Fine Arts from New York University’s Tisch School of the Arts.
